Objective:
The Social Media Marketing Team wanted to create a contest to promote a chance to win a $250 giftcard for your next online purchase. The contest would require customers to upload a photo of them wearing their favorite pair of shoes. They also needed all Facebook posts to fit within a 20% text rule for boosted posts as well as showing photos of shoe on body to help guide the customer to the types of shots they could provide for the contest. This meant the posts would need a variety of shoes to choose from to help fill dead space.
Solution:
The contest name along with the start date just after Valentine’s Day sparked the idea of a playful heart motif for the logo and color palette. Since we wanted the on body photographs to feel as though they could have been taken by a customer, design and the social media team collaborated to model shoes and photograph their feet using cell phones. The final look was a whimsical and fun approach that truly promoted the idea of loving your favorite pair of shoes.
